Regional events in the Midwest are a great way to bring employees and teams from Chicago, Illinois; Indianapolis, Indiana; Columbus, Ohio; Detroit, Michigan; areas in Kansas; and more together for specific business events and conferences. Right now, many corporate events focus on technology and infrastructure development, among other things. But to really keep everyone engaged, you will need some kind of corporate entertainment to offer during breaks between activities or speakers.
The Comedian Company is a leading choice for corporate entertainment. We provide funny comedians, emcees, keynote speakers, and even magicians for regional corporate events, especially here in the Midwestern states. Our team can help you plan the perfect corporate event with one of our corporate entertainment options.
Corporate Entertainment Ideas for Midwest Regional Events
The Comedian Company works with many corporations and Fortune 500 companies to provide regional corporate event entertainment. There are a number of options we can provide for your next event!
Corporate Comedians
Corporate comedians are skilled at performing for corporate audiences. Our corporate comedians have worked with fundraisers, galas, trade shows, and many other corporate events, delivering industry-related, work-appropriate jokes everyone can appreciate.
Corporate stand-up is a great break from learning or product demonstrations, giving everyone a chance to relax, laugh, and get ready for the next round of activities.
Magicians
A magician is another cool universal corporate entertainment option! Depending on your audience size, you can get a strolling magician for small, intimate groups that can walk around performing magic while guests socialize. Or if you are hosting a rather large event with many people, you can get a stage magician who performs well with a larger crowd.
Funny Motivational Speakers
Incorporate a funny motivational speaker at your next regional event. Laughter motivates people by lowering stress hormones like epinephrine and cortisol, helping them feel ready to go! The Comedian Company works with many keynote speakers, but if you want to use laughter to your advantage, you should hire one of our funny motivational speakers.
Hypnotists
A hypnotist is a unique regional event entertainment option that also works well for business audiences. Hypnotists usually take volunteers from the audience, put them into a “trance” on stage, and are known for engaging audiences! A great mix-up from work-related activities and seminars is having a hypnotist perform to boost morale and engagement!
Variety Acts
A variety act is a combination of comedians, hypnotists, magicians, or ventriloquists. The Comedian Company can put two to three different acts together so you can have a variety act at your next regional event. These work well if you have a big break, or during a luncheon and you want to fill an hour or two with entertainment. Variety acts are also great for events where people from different locations come together with different interests, since they usually offer something for everyone to enjoy!
Comedian Emcee
Your regional corporate sales kickoff or annual conference could benefit from a skilled emcee leading the event. At The Comedian Company, we feature hilarious comedian emcees who keep your event running smoothly and keep people laughing. These events don’t have to be all serious; hire a comedian emcee to be the glue of your next event.
Why Is Comedy Great for Midwest Regional Events?
So, why is comedy such a good idea for serious corporate events? We’ve got three reasons why comedy is a great choice of corporate entertainment.
People Like to Laugh
People love to laugh. Studies show that laughing is universal and transcends culture. Not everyone will laugh out loud, but most people enjoy a good bit of fun and stand-up comedy no matter where they are from or their cultural identity, gender, or other identifying factors.
Corporate Comedy Can Increase Memory, Productivity, and Participation
At your regional events, you most likely want participants to learn, be more productive, and participate in the event activities. A corporate comedian can help you accomplish all of these goals. Laughter boosts short-term memory in adults, reduces stress levels, makes employees more productive, and increases participation at events.
Clean Content
At a major Midwest regional event, you want to ensure that the comedy is clean. Professional corporate comedians know the business world, and they specialize in clean corporate humor.
The funniest person in your industry may still slip something that can offend someone from another location and not even mean to. So it’s just a good idea to book a comedian who delivers clean corporate office jokes. At The Comedian Company, you can trust that our corporate comedians are going to keep your brand’s professional image intact while still delivering a hilarious show.
Work-Appropriate Jokes
To avoid an HR nightmare, be careful with workplace humor and make sure the jokes land without upsetting anyone. If you hire a professional corporate comedian to perform clean stand-up, you can expect work-appropriate jokes for your event. It’s not a bad thing that you and your other district managers have funny inside jokes, but they may not be appropriate for everyone across the Midwest region. Use a professional with experience in corporate entertainment to keep the jokes appropriate for everyone.
